From January 13 to February 14, 2021, the Casa de los Navaja hosted the exhibition of photographs by the artist Fran Doblas.
"Escaping inside is a photographic project carried out in confinement, with a call through social networks, in which the participants sent a selfie, an image taken in their isolation during the quarantine. They would receive a questionnaire via e-mail to lead them to self-reflection. And with these two tools (Selfie and questionnaire) to capture through a photographic collage the most intimate parts of their history in a metaphorical, not explicit way..." commented the artist from Torremolinos about her photographic project.
Conceptually, the historical moment in which the images have been taken can make them unique. Those photographs (selfies) that we normally take to escape out, towards what we want to show others and many times deceive ourselves with a supposed happiness that we do not feel, but if we want others to see, it has made these images in a possibility, this time, to ESCAPE INWARDS...
